PROJECT FEATURE.
Quartz inspires a picture-perfect kitchen.
PHOTOGRAPHY: IN FULL BLOOM PHOTOGRAPHY
Meet Kate. She’s a home design influencer (@theblackstoneproject) with loyal followers who love watching the transformation of her 1940s fixer-upper. But she’s much more than an influencer — she’s also a first-time homeowner and the mother of two young children.
That’s why she turned to Wilsonart® Quartz when renovating her kitchen. Quartz gives her the beauty, simplicity, durability, and cleanability required in a busy home.

KATE SAYS,
“Our vision was to create a kitchen with timeless style and practical functionality using a mix of classic and organic design elements. We wanted a space that would meet the demands of everyday use while providing a beautiful space to retreat.”
How did Wilsonart Quartz deliver the vision?

With Marathi Marble (Q4078), a popular design that evokes the luxury style of Taj Mahal quartzite.
Taj Mahal quartzite is one of the most loved natural stones because of its remarkable beauty. But many don’t love that it requires frequent sealing, is not stain resistant, and chips easily. Marathi Marble offers a vivid interpretation of this classic stone, featuring a taupe background, slight translucency, and thin white veins.
KATE SAYS THAT THE NEW COUNTERTOP TAKES HER KITCHEN TO THE NEXT LEVEL.
“I love natural Taj Mahal for its mix of neutrality and character. It is simple enough to complement any kitchen style but distinct enough to be a showstopper. The gold veins and the glossy finish give Marathi Marble that same authentic look.”

Marathi Marble complements the modern evolution of Kate’s kitchen — without overpowering the original charm of the quaint 1940s home. The taupe countertop background pairs perfectly with muted brown cabinetry, brass hardware, and updated flooring.

“I’m very inspired by natural elements such as wood, marble, limestone, quartzite, travertine, and brass. I want my home to have colors, textures, and tones that look and feel relaxed.”
And unlike traditional Taj Mahal quartzite, Marathi Marble is engineered to resist scratches, stains, and scuffs. Due to its durable construction, Wilsonart Quartz is also easier to handle than natural stone. That was critical for Kate, especially since her new countertops were installed only a day before Thanksgiving!
KATE WAS SURPRISED ABOUT THE SIMPLE INSTALLATION PROCESS. SHE SAYS,
“Other countertop materials would require cutting smaller pieces to fit our complex layout. Because of the strength and durability of Wilsonart Quartz, the incredible fabrication team was able to achieve a much more seamless look.”
The final look completes a comfortable, elevated kitchen that breathes life into the rest of the home. From everyday performance to luxury style, Marathi Marble meets all of Kate’s expectations.

“As a mother of two preschoolers, the last thing I want to do is babysit my kitchen countertops. I don’t want to be concerned about stains, scratches, or ongoing sealing. Marathi Marble looks beautiful and serves my family with practically no maintenance.”
Since the installation of new Quartz countertops, Kate continues to transform her home for a growing audience of nearly 300,000 followers. And she’s not the only one who loves the stunning possibilities of Marathi Marble.
ONE COMMENTER SAYS,
“Everything is coming together beautifully.”
