Just beyond the entrance, you are met with one of the project’s most impactful design moments — a gorgeous connecting hallway. Nikki elevated the walls with Maple PB Chestnut, a no-repeat Wilsonart Woodgrain, to transform a transitional space into an immersive design experience.

The dramatic maple has a plain sliced bookmatch accentuated by deep brown tones that deliver timeless elegance, which creates architectural interest while standing up to regular hallway traffic. She says, “Once I realized I wasn’t going to deal with grain matching, staining, or discoloration, it changed how I design these spaces.”

“With Maple PB Chestnut, a long and boring hallway can become its own beautiful space. The design creates a super elevated look, and it’s perfect for high-traffic areas.”

In the kitchen, Nikki leaned into contrast and glow with Wilsonart Decorative Metals. The island front features Satin Brushed Lite Bronze Aluminum and introduces a subtle metallic sheen that reflects light and adds depth without overpowering other interior elements. The metal surface draws in the eye with a statement — expressive and beautifully infused with industrial taste.

Nikki says, “One bold detail can completely redefine a space by adding texture and tone. The brushed bronze look on the island front brings a refined glow and a modern edge.” The final look is a kitchen that literally shines. And as the Florida sun cascades across the environment, the island feels dynamic and alive, like a beacon of modern design.

Satin Brushed Lite Bronze Aluminum makes another appearance in Nikki's personal office alongside NeoWalnut from The LUJO Collection. The light amber features, medium auburn tones, and dark brown undertones of this luxury woodgrain add a timeless warmth to storage areas. She says, “I reimagined the second bedroom as a home office and designed it with intention from the inside out. I love the contrast of the brushed gold accent door and a matte black interior.”

Wilsonart surfaces also allowed Nikki to make big transformations to small spaces. What was once a tiny utility closet is now a fully realized laundry room packed with storage and personality. Working closely with Closet Envy, Nikki specified multiple ultra-matte, ultra-luxe Traceless surfaces — including Acorn Velvet Elm, Peacock Velvet, and Black Velvet — paired with a marble-inspired Thinscape Composite Top for the counter and backsplash. The result feels refined, resilient, and ready to perform in a moisture-prone environment.

“This custom laundry room is nothing short of luxury. Every element was intentionally designed, with meticulous attention paid to each detail. With all the wood paneling, I wanted to introduce another layer of texture.”

In the primary closet, Nikki embraced rich layering to elevate an everyday ritual. Harrison Elm cabinetry was enhanced by the matte Silken Wood finish and paired with Thinscape’s Soapstone Mist for the countertop and backsplash. The combination delivers warmth and tactility, creating a space that feels both luxurious and unique. By using Wilsonart’s Coordinated Surfaces program Nikki selected woodgrain HPL, TFL, and Edgeband designs to work seamlessly together, ensuring color consistency and finish alignment from cabinetry to edge details. This cohesion is critical, especially in a compact closet where every surface is in close view. Nikki and other leading designers often rely on Wilsonart Coordinated Surfaces to bring elevated spaces to life with the consistency and service that they deserve.

After specifying Wilsonart surfaces for several client projects, Nikki knew exactly how these designs would work in her own home. She often turns to these materials when designing custom closets that exceed client expectations for seamless luxury and daily performance.

Choosing Wilsonart for her personal space was a natural extension of the trust she’s built through years of hands-on experience.

Engineered for easy maintenance and resilience in coastal conditions, the wide variety helps Nikki and Closet Envy achieve the warmth of wood, the drama of metal, and the elegance of stone — without the limitations of traditional materials. She notes, “It’s so easy to live with Wilsonart. We wipe the surfaces down with a damp rag — and that’s it.”

This project stands as a compelling example for any multifamily architect or designer: modern luxury shouldn’t be fragile, and performance shouldn’t sacrifice style. With Wilsonart, world-class visionaries have the freedom to create boldly and transform any space into a beautiful, livable sanctuary.
