The flexibility and availability of Wilsonart products help Closet Envy stay ahead of design trends. LUJO’s engineered woodgrains are naturally inspired and a favorite for modern, textural spaces. Renson often specifies Tahoe Oak and Sabine Walnut, two popular LUJO designs that feel elevated and timeless.
“Tahoe Oak and Sabine Walnut really nail the woodgrain pattern and texture designers are looking for in a unique closet space. Our clients are drawn to them over other textures,” says Teresa.
That same attention to detail caught the eye of celebrity designer and lifestyle tastemaker Nikki Chu. Known for her bold, globally inspired aesthetic, Chu discovered Closet Envy through a fellow designer in Dallas and was immediately impressed with their approach. She has partnered with Closet Envy to create curated design palettes using Thinscape and LUJO, perfect for high-profile clients in luxury homes.
“Closet Envy just gets it when it comes to trends,” says Nikki. “They've curated the perfect mix of colors and textures to choose from. I especially love Tahoe Oak from Wilsonart — it's so versatile that people often design their entire palette around it.”

Chu and Closet Envy are currently collaborating on multiple projects, including her own Florida condo remodel and client homes in Dallas and Miami. Her ready-to-use design palettes often feature Wilsonart surfaces and sleek hardware, which make it easy for clients to envision a finished space without the stress of endless decisions.
In addition to LUJO panels, Closet Envy relies on Thinscape for countertops, cabinet tops, and wall backings. Its ultra-thin profile, dynamic designs, and durability make it stand out in closet environments. “We all love Thinscape. I use it everywhere,” says Renson. “It’s not heavy, doesn’t chip, and it looks extremely high-end.”
Performance is critical in a luxury closet where surfaces need to handle daily use without showing wear. LUJO and Thinscape offer lasting durability and timeless refinement, ensuring these high-touch environments stay beautiful over the long term.
Renson notes, “We use Thinscape in places where clients put down coffee cups or wine glasses, and it performs exactly as it should.” Built-in stain and moisture resistance ensure that these surfaces can handle everyday living — and simple cleanup keeps Thinscape looking new for years to come.
Closet Envy handles both design and fabrication in-house, so having surfaces that are easy to source and fabricate is critical to their efficiency. Wilsonart’s U.S.-based manufacturing and company-owned distribution allow the team to stay on schedule without sacrificing a client’s expectations for custom luxury.
Teresa says, “Especially with recent tariffs, Wilsonart being manufactured in the U.S. is a huge benefit. Shipping isn't delayed, and the products arrive affordably and quickly.”
The combination of LUJO and Thinscape makes it easier for Closet Envy to deliver luxury spaces that feel polished and cohesive. Nikki Chu likes to create this cohesion early in the process by defining a strong, unified palette. Wilsonart’s materials bring her design goals to life.
“I care most about the overall tone and how the materials come together to support the design. LUJO gives me the range I need. I love mixing dark and light tones, and these woodgrains give me the flexibility to do that in a way that feels custom.”

At the end of the day, both Renson and Chu know that design always leads. “Design is always the most important. With Wilsonart, we can use multiple materials in a way that blends beautifully for a finished look,” says Chu.
“I just like things that are pretty,” Teresa jokes. “That's what I tell people. I just like pretty — and Wilsonart helps me deliver that every time.”
Sophisticated designs and consistent availability are helping Closet Envy grow its efforts, taking on new projects every day with interior designers and celebrity clients nationwide. And the partnership with Wilsonart is growing, too. Whether it’s a single walk-in closet or an entire suite, the shared goal is simple: to make custom spaces more intentional, more efficient, and more beautiful for luxury living.
