Durcon® Epoxy worksurfaces undergo the industry’s highest levels of performance testing to prove its durability and strength. This includes the SEFA 3 Chemical Resistance test, a set of 49 solvents, bases, oxidants and corrosive acids found in laboratory environments. In addition, Durcon Epoxy is tested under ASTM standards to assess veracity against physical demands often required of a lab worksurface by ensuring resistance to elements such as fire, heat, staining, impact and scratching. Durcon Epoxy products are UL Greenguard Gold certified for indoor air quality, SCS Certified, approved for use in food service areas by NSF/ANSI 51, with memberships to the American Institute of Architects (AIA), United States Green Building Council (USGBC), and Epoxy products are manufactured in the USA. - Fire-Rated Class A
Durcon® Epoxy has undergone the ASTM E84 Fire Resistance test and passed with the highest possible rank of Class A. With a Heat Distortion Temperature of 380°F, Flame Spread Index of 5 (highest possible), Smoke Developed Index of 185, Time to Ignition of 4min 53sec, Max Flamespread Distance of 3.69 ft, and Time to Max Spread of 9min 55sec. Epoxy is also classified as Self-Extinguishing.
